Rose Strong was born at 5pm on the 31st January 1898 at 10 St James Tower, Kinning Park, Lanark.  She was 19 and worked in a Biscuit factory when she married James Mcmahon aged 17 on the 11th of November 1918 at 35 Hutchenson Street, Blythswood Glasgow. Rose had lived at 12 Marlow Street Glasgow.

Her Parents were John Strong (Foundry Worker) a labourer at the time she was born but who was dead at the time they married and Jane Strong (Smith). Her parents had married in July 1893 (Carson) Ireland.  

We know the Rose marriage to James only lasted a couple of years  or so as by 1921 James was now residing with Martha Freeman Blue and about to have there 1st child.
