Her Father was James Mcmahon (1838) a Quay worker & her mother was Bridget (Smith) Mcmahon (1841-1902)
Roseanne was one of six children the eldest being as follows

John Mcmahon born May 28th 1869 at number 94 Saltmarket Glasgow

Hugh McMahon born on the 3rd April 1878 at Old Wynd Glasgow
We know from the 1881 census Roseanne was age 14 & residing at number 9 Old Wynd Lanark Glasgow with all her siblings.
She later moved to Dundee were she worked in the Jute Mills and met her 1st Husband Michael Garvey who was from Lockee Dundee and also worked in the Mills they married on the 25th June 1885 age 18 at St Mary’s Lockee
Roseann then moved back to Glasgow with Michael and resided in 174 Centre Street where Michael worked as a labourer. They had two children John Garvey and Michael Garvey Jnr
On the 13th December 10.10pm Michael died of Phthisis which is Greek for T.B.
Roseann was a widow at the age of 32 her sons were age 15 and age 9 at the time of there fathers death
On the 6th March 1906 Roseann remarried James Cannon in Motherwell where she continued to live until her death
